Born in 1960 in Hull, Yorkshire, Tony Simpkins developed a passion for manufacturing wood windows from a very early age. Initially Tony took the option to purchase a franchise in the industry, before deciding to start his own business in 1982. This would later become known as Timbercraft Windows & Doors Limited. Timbercraft was originally set up to provide bespoke Window manufacturing for the residential market. Some 13 years on, Tony and his team at Timbercraft are no longer simply called upon for Windows, but Doors, Conservatories and Roof Lanterns too.

Working with over 100 clients every year, Timbercraft now produces bespoke Windows, Doors and Conservatories for residential, commercial and industrial markets. Timbercraft Windows & Doors deal directly with consumers on certain projects, but also work closely with property developers, site managers, property management companies and landlords. Born in Tiptree in 1945, Tony Woof has worked in the engineering and timber industry all of his working life. Having spent the early years of Timbercraft Windows & Doors providing local clients with bespoke Windows, it soon became clear to Tony that his skillset would enable him to target an even larger section of the market. Adapting to be able to offer Conservatories and Roof Lanterns that were purpose built and made to order helped to elevate Timbercraft into a leading industry name. Capable of creating products to any design, shape or size allowed Timbercraft to become a bespoke supplier and give Tony the ability to focus his versatility on larger and more elaborate projects.
